Monday 27 July – It Begins Today

By admin | July 27, 2009

My quest for half marathon madnes began officially yesterday. I have been telling myself off and on for a couple months now, that I would start training for one. I just never really had the patience to setup and stick to a schedule. Well, that and a little groin strain set me back a couple weeks too.

Well, yesterday I started on a nice little training schedule and will start sharing my experiences with everyone on this blog. Hopefully it will give you some ideas and I hope YOU SHARE yours as well by posting here.

So on with the post.

Monday (27 Jul 09): Morning – Easy run (heart rate 65-70% max) for about 25 minutes.
Noon – 35 minutes on elliptical as a nice easy XT and warmup routine, then a 35 minute moderate run (75-80% max hr). 5 minute walking cooldown.
