Yoga beginners Yoga can physically counteract the strains of running. This is important to runners, who produce a lot of endorphins. Endorphins can mask pain, injury or illness. Without developed body intuition you receive from Yoga, it's harder to understand these signals.

Turkey Traks 5k Run Tomorrow – Thanksgiving Day Run

By admin | November 20, 2009

Been almost a week since my last post and I apologize to all the RunningFat readers for this.

NO! I was not out eating all week at Burger King. It was a crazy and busy week.

Knocked out a couple good workouts in and some easy runs to bring me into the race this Sunday at Futenma. It will be a 5k race and I am shooting for 20 to 21 for my finish time.

For those that may not know, I have been following the Hal Higdon Advanced 5k Training Plan for the last 8 weeks. So this Sunday will be the culmination of 8 weeks of hard work.

However, we won’t be stopping there. Once the race is over and I rest and recuperate for Sunday, I will be starting Hal Higdon’s Advanced 10k Training Plan. This plan will also be an 8 week plan and will be a little more challenging.

In keeping with the ladder, I will be moving onto a half-marathon plan and a marathon plan (maybe),

So hopefully tomorrow brings good weather and a good race. So I will end this post with a BIG THANKS TO HAL HIGDON and his training plans! I am faster, stronger and losing weight like crazy.
