Out of Shape
By admin | February 3, 2010
Getting out of shape really sucks. Why does it suck? If you have been there you know what I mean. For those that have never been out of shape or never been in shape to begin with I will explain why it sucks.
You work really hard to get into shape, you follow a training plan. You dedicate yourself to a diet, training schedule and sacrifice fun with fmaily and friends to stick to both. After hours and hours and weeks and weeks of sweat, tofu, and constantly checking heart rates, you are were you want to be fitness wise, or close to it.
Then along comes an injury, life events or some other cirdumstance that distracts or prevents you from training. Without the training the diet quickly goes then so does the dedication. Without the dedication getting back in the saddle is very hard. You gain weight, muscles tighten and you lose motivation.
Finally, you get to a point that you know things are really going down hill. You start and try to act but the motivation and dedication is gone. Why? I beleive it is because of all the fore mentioned things. You get out of shape, gain weight and eat poorly. The body became accustomed to that and it wont be easy at first to get back into the right mindset.
The thing is though it has to be gutted through for a couple weeks. Once you gut through, it will all start coming together again. Muscles will get adjusted, you will start becoming adjusted to your diet and the motivation returns.
